The way people communicatie nowadays isn’t much like the way people communicated a few years ago. Innovation takes away technological barriers and social communication arises quickly. Community’s, wiki’s, social networks, user generated content and other properties of the social web didn’t even exist 5 years ago.
I’m still a young guy. I don’t have 10 years of experience in the field or worked at 10 top notch interactive agencies. I didn’t win a thousand pitches. Never been featured in a marketing magazine. Or got worldfame because of an interesting (social media) marketing theorie. But that’s totally okay.
Because my (work)field and field of interest is social media. And in that specific area it’s not even possible to have 10 years of working experience. Social media just peeked around the corner and is growing quickly.
And I do know a little thing or two about social media. Where it began, who are the thought leaders, what happened in the past and especially what is going to happen in the future. Thats my passion, my interest and my work. Thats why I’d love to share my thoughts on it. Here on my blog (Dutch), but also on ViralBlog (English), Frank-ly (Dutch) and at Lifehacking.nl (Dutch).
If you’d like to get to know me a bit better, you can visite my Twitter profile, my LinkedIn page, my Delicious bookmarks, my Hyves profile, my Wakoopa page, my Last.fm profile or take a look at my photos on Flickr. If you’d like to get in touch with me via email, you can reach me at mroumen [@] gmail . com.
I’ve worked for: Rhinofly, LaComunidad, SocialMedia8, ViralTracker, Lifehacking Academy and the NHL.
